I just got back to town after spending a lovely Thanksgiving week in San Diego, and I just found out that there will be a tribute to Wallace and Ladmo airing this Saturday, December 4 at 9:00 p.m. on channel 5 here in Phoenix.
The retrospective follows KPHO's own very interesting-looking 50th-anniversary special, airing at 8 p.m.

I must say that I am very VERY pleased about this, since this marks the 10th anniversary of the LAST broadcast of a t.v. show which aired for 36 years.
Actually, the last broadcast was on December 29,1989 but this is close enough.
6 months ago I wrote an article commemorating this tenth anniversary, but I had assumed when I was writing it that there would be no official acknowledgement of this important date.
Sometimes I'm happy to be wrong, and so it is that I find it unnecessary to publish my article anywhere other than here.
I'm going to try to add the Dec 4th footage as well as some other video that was broadcast a few years ago, but I have to consider the copyrights as well as bandwidth considerations, not to mention the fact that I don't have a capture card (sigh).
